Description This is the same feed system found on the A-5 and now it is available for your Tippmann 98 Custom or Pro! Will also work with the new Alpha series markers! (Requires minor modifications) The Cyclone Feed System links the feeder sprocket to the air system for synchronized ball feed for reduced breakage and jamming. It feeds up to 15 balls per second and includes a wide mouth 200 Round Hopper that attaches via quick release elbow. This can be installed with the RT but you do need an RT adapter which is not included.

I was originally going to get an electric hopper until I found this bad boy. Installation is a breeze, go to youtube and search cyclone feed installation for a great how to. The video uses a Project Salvo or Alpha Black, but still gives you a hint on what to do. For those that have the Army line Project Salvo (not sure about the others) or Platinum series 98 you won't have to get the kit to have both cyclone feed and response trigger. I'm not sure about the A5 or X7 though.
On to how it works. I don't have the response trigger but I can pull the trigger rather fast. A regular hopper just can't keep up with me at all. All I did was chop paint, about 1 out of 3 would chop even with the ACT. Well I installed the hopper the day I got it and the next day took it out to fire. I wasn't keeping track of how many rounds I fired but there wasn't a single chop with how fast I was going.
As for the cost of it. To be honest the $59 price tag bugged me at first. Especially when a lower end electric hopper can cost around half that. Then I started thinking. Cost of the electric hopper, battery(ies) and a charger could easily be more then just a cyclone feed system. To top it off there is the possibility of the battery dieing on you mid-game. With that I realized this upgrade was well worth it and a must have.

Before I upgraded to this I was haveing issues with my paintballs not loading into the chamber and the gun would just fire air. With this upgrade no more misfires. fires everytime. no more shaking the gun to get the balls to load. Perfect upgrade.

I shot my buddies A5 with a cyclone feed and I was immediately hooked. The system force feeds paint into the marker pneumatically, so there is no need for batteries or hopper shaking. Some people have experienced broken paint and upgraded to the soft flippers, but so far I haven't had any trouble. There is also a push button on the back to fix a misfire. Installation is a breeze if you have a newer 98C platinum edition. All you have to do is snap it on and screw in the air line. This is probably the best upgrade I have ever bought for my 98C and will highly recommend it.

No problems at all with the cyclone. It's perfect and works with my 98 custom pro in every way. I love it, you won't be disappointed. Easy installment too.

before i bought this upgrade my tippmann 98 custom was chopping balls like crazy. i normally use cheap paint like diablo recon or visible impact and i was having a lot of breakage so i decided to try and put this on and see iff it would help. I think about anyone can install this modification if they put their minds to it. But if you have an older 98 custom than you will need to get a new power tube. because the one that it is equipped with stock does not have the threads to screw in the air coupler. DON'T BUY ONE......, just call the tippmann phone number found on their website and they will send you one free of charge. No matter how old your gun is tippmanns customer service will always be grade A. it takes about 20 min to install unless you need to change the power tube then it takes about 40 min. P.S. DONT over tighten the air coupler or it will strip out the plastic threads on the power tube. Good luck i hope my review helped you out.
